In our leadership positions for Eye to Eye's University of Pittsburgh Chapter, my Co-Coordinator and I decided to raise the bar for chapters nationwide by providing funds for the national office. We organized a Benefit Gala by contacting potential sponsors, creating fundraising materials, marketing through social media, and arranging all the details for the event. We engaged the Pittsburgh community and raised $5,000!
The black tie event included a three-course meal, a guest speaker, three performances, raffle baskets and a silent auction.
Our handwork did not go unnoticed. My Co-Coordinator and I received "The Certificate of Awesomeness" from one of Eye to Eye's National Program Coordinators.
